My train layout is going to be based on the The Slater Dowling Lumber Mill which was a 100,000 acres lumber mill here in North Fort Myers Florida. Five hundred workers lived in the logging town of Slater and worked at the mill. The mill operated for two decades before it closed down in 1944.

The train board has been prepped for the first coat of paint. I will be adding pictures of the layout as it slowly progresses.
